Wen has over 20 years of experience in medical device development, manufacturing and commercialization. Prior to joining VitalConnect, Wen was the COO of BAROnova, leading the operations for the development of an implantable PMA weight loss device. Prior to that, Wen was the CTO and VP of R&D of Clarity Medical Systems, a medical device company that developed and commercialized ophthalmological systems for retina imaging and cataract surgery. Wen’s extensive experience includes VP of R&D at Asante Solutions, where he developed and launched an innovative insulin pump, VP of R&D and Engineering of VasoNova (acquired by Teleflex) which developed an innovative vascular catheter positioning system, and Directors of Transducer / Project / Mechanical at Zonare, (acquired by Mindray). Wen started his career with GE Medical Systems, where he earned his Six Sigma Black Belt.

Wen has a B.S. and M.S. from Tsinghua University and Ph.D. from Penn State with all degrees in Biomedical Engineering.
